Painted in Steelville Missouri during 2019 event. I started the sunset one evening during event in June..the sun sets so quickly I only achieved blocking in the 10x20 board. I went back the next evening after the daily event. I was excited on the drive out to Yearey’s Farm as the clouds were more abundant and it looked as though a storm might roll in. I quickly found my spot from the evening before and finished up the ground. Then suddenly-barn and ....there it was…an absolutely stunning sunset…with a storm cloud building to the right. I painted deliberately and quickly and packed up just as the night fell and storm rolled in! I made it back to Steelville before the rain hit..God is amazing!!

Manuela Woolsey is a Missouri Artist who resides and works in Leslie Missouri. As early as she can remember Manuela had a desire to create. Her mother was from Germany and her father was a musician so this made for a creative childhood. She spent most of her time with her sister that was one year older and they loved playing in the nearby creek and farm lands. After graduating High school in 1985 her parents encouraged her to obtain a more realistic career rather than pursing her dream of being an artist. Her earlier years found her traveling as a photographer, make-up artist, stylist and sales manager.
