DescriptionBreak the chains. This is a mural commissioned by the Freedom Center Recover LLC. located in Union Missouri. The Freedom Center is a company that helps people who suffer from substance abuse & addiction. The wall is 17’x6’ and was created using Emerald Designer Edition Interior Latex Paint. (Acrylic). It is located directly inside the building in the main lobby. The mural is composed by layering a thin washes of the deeper shades and then slightly using heavier layers while incorporating white to achieve the lighter hues to created a ethereal effect. Manuela Woolsey is a Missouri Artist who resides and works in Leslie Missouri. As early as she can remember Manuela had a desire to create. Her mother was from Germany and her father was a musician so this made for a creative childhood. She spent most of her time with her sister that was one year older and they loved playing in the nearby creek and farm lands. After graduating High school in 1985 her parents encouraged her to obtain a more realistic career rather than pursing her dream of being an artist. Her earlier years found her traveling as a photographer, make-up artist, stylist and sales manager.
