Painted during the 2022 August Plein Air Festival in Missouri River theme. Artist were asked to submit a painting of the Missouri River”. The event is 10 days and artist we’re allowed to paint anywhere from Herman Missouri to St. Charles Missouri. Manuela chose the New Haven view from Pinckney Bend Bed & Breakfast as it is an amazing view of the neck of the Missouri River and she was able to paint after daily paint outs in Augusta on her route home. The painting took 2 settings, two evenings of the event..with only a couple of hours of daylight remaining to capture it. Pinckney Bend Bed & Breakfast Is one of the finest views with barges traveling through and beautiful farmland around its sandy banks.
Manuela Woolsey is a Missouri Artist who resides and works in Leslie Missouri. As early as she can remember Manuela had a desire to create. Her mother was from Germany and her father was a musician so this made for a creative childhood. She spent most of her time with her sister that was one year older and they loved playing in the nearby creek and farm lands. After graduating High school in 1985 her parents encouraged her to obtain a more realistic career rather than pursing her dream of being an artist. Her earlier years found her traveling as a photographer, make-up artist, stylist and sales manager.
